Currently ending my study by writing my Thesis for a company named Steinfort. A company in the glass industry.

At my university I had the chance to apply for NUCARS. You needed to write a letter and they were checking your scores on the last exams. After that there were 10 students allowed to make the trip.

NUCARS helped me connecting with people abroad and gave me the chance to be introduced with another way of thinking.

My advice would be to listen carefully to your customer. They know there needs and you know your product, let’s connect them!!  But I think there is a really big difference between a Dutch customer and an American one

I’m not sure what you mean with ‘biggest takeaway’ but I think you want to know my biggest learning. NUCARS was a big party for me, enjoy it and connect with anybody you see and try to keep in touch with them. And don’t forget to listen to their story’s and experiences.

Those who have attended tell me that NUCARS is really fun. I really like the way NUCARS works, I like to explore new things, I also particularly enjoy the multicultural exchange with people from all over the world. I want to see how people from other cultures think and solve problems and learn from them!

After my NUCARS experience, my teamwork skills reached a huge level, which made me very active in group work later on. I became very open to sharing my own ideas and more importantly, I became more comfortable with making friends with different people. I also learned a lot about sales in the automotive industry and thus gained a more complete understanding of the whole system, which led me to an internship in the automotive industry.

Always pay attention to the details and build trust to your customers.

I forget the name of the teacher, he was a teacher from Northwood University, he loved Detroit Lions and he was upbeat every day, telling us to keep a positive mindset no matter what. From then on whenever I had a setback, I would sing the Best Day of My Life song he made us sing, every day is the best day in life!

I just want to say that I hope everyone will come along to this event, it really is a particularly fun experience and will be a valuable memory that you will never forget.

Because it’s a great opportunity to have different cultures and therefore sales strategies around the same table. In addition, it was very interesting for me to visit a UNI in the USA and have a look at this system.

The industry has become very fast moving. If you stop, you fall by the wayside. Watch the market and stand out.

I myself was very often against the group, which was not always easy. I’ve learned to compromise myself. But in the end it was also good that I didn’t just say yes. In the end we had 3rd place. Another good result.
