Study Abroad Programs

There are both Northwood sponsored programs and exchange programs available to students.

Northwood Faculty-Led Programs

These programs are designed and managed by Northwood’s International Programs office, and are led by Northwood faculty. You might want to consider a Northwood Sponsored program if you…

  • …feel more secure traveling and learning with Northwood students.

  • …would like a controlled introduction into international travel.

  • …desire on-site support from a Northwood program leader.

Short-term programs

One to two weeks long with participants earning three credit hours.

Semester-length programs

Semester-long, earning up to 15 or 16 credits. Travel period is between five to eight weeks, with orientations and pre- and post-travel work during the semester. Campus residence is not required to complete coursework before and after travel, but all assignments must be completed to receive credit.
